Operation & Sterilization Instructions
Sterilize temperature ≤ 135 °C (Improved type ≤ 155 °C). If the temperature is over 135 °C, the motor could be damaged.
Normal bone drill can only hold drill bits less than 6mm. Acetabulum reaming drill with big torque has a speed of around 300 rpm, and canulate drill used with nail or K wire runs at around 600 rpm.
The battery must be taken out of the power tool after surgery. Otherwise, the minor automatic discharge of the electric component will shorten the life of the battery.
The battery cannot be sterilized and is not autoclavable.
The cranial bur must be washed right after the surgery by a purger in order to avoid blood stick in the bur. Make sure it stays dry.
The battery space in the handpiece of the tool should not contain any water after sterilization.
The cranial bur blade is made of medical stainless steel. To avoid breakage, it is flexible, not extremely hard, and easily worn. We suggest each blade only be used for 1 surgery.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the sterilization limit for the HAS-B100 power tool?
The handpiece supports autoclave sterilization up to 135°C (Improved types can withstand up to 155°C). Exceeding these limits can permanently damage the integrated motor. Note that the battery is NOT autoclavable.
Can the battery be sterilized using heat?
No. The battery pack is not autoclavable and cannot be sterilized under high temperatures. It must be detached from the tool during sterilization procedures.
How should the battery be managed post-surgery?
The battery should always be removed from the handpiece immediately after surgery. Keeping it inside causes minor automatic discharge, which will shorten the overall lifespan of the battery.
What are the different rotation speeds for the drilling attachments?
The standard bone drill operates up to 1200 rpm (handling bits under 6mm). The acetabulum reaming drill operates at about 300 rpm to deliver high torque, and the cannulated drill operates at about 600 rpm for nails and K-wires.
How do I maintain the cranial bur and blades?
Clean the cranial bur with a purger immediately after the procedure to prevent blood from sticking inside, then dry it completely. The medical stainless steel bur blades are designed with flexibility to prevent fracture, and we recommend using each blade for only one surgery.
What is the warranty period for this system?
We provide a 1-year warranty for the complete machine, a 2-year warranty specifically for the motor unit, and a 3-month warranty for the batteries and fast-consumption items.
